Unknown gunmen killed the commander of the interim government forces in Jalalaqsi town of Hiran region in central Somalia, sources say on Saturday Abdulahi Ahmed “Marey” was gunned down when three men armed with pistols entered his house in Jinbiley village near Jalalaqsi town. “He was hit in the head with several shots and died on the spot, the attackers escaped unharmed. We don’t known who were behind this brutal killing,” one resident told Somalinet by telephone. The governor of Hiran region Hussein Mohamud Malin ‘Hussein Ayah’ condemned the killing of the commander as terror act and aimed to undermine the stability. Acts of hunting down the government officials in Somalia still continue at its highest level.
