Somaliland Foreign Minister receives French diplomats.

Hargeisa-The Somaliland Foreign Affairs Minister, Mudane Abdillahi Mohamed Duale recently met with a delegation from the French embassy in Djibouti led by Monsieur Thiery Chornier, premier secretary at the embassy.
Monsieur Chornier and his delegation are on a short visit to Somaliland in order to strengthen the relationship between the two nations in terms of economic, planning, education and tourism assistance.
During their visit to Somaliland, the French delegation also met with the Somaliland Minister of Tourism and Culture, Mudane Abdirisak Waberi Roble, who hosted a luncheon for the diplomats in Hargeisa. Mudane Abdirisak Waberi and the French delegation discussed areas of mutual interest including proposed cultural assistance such as the Laas Geel ancient cave paintings and the proposed reconstruction of the national theatre which was destroyed during the bombing of Hargeisa by mercenary pilots hired by the defunct Barre regime in 1988.
Monsieur Chornier and his delegation also met with the Minister of State at the Foreign Office, Mudane Saeed Mohamed Nur, the Director-General, Awil Mohamed Farah and the Somaliland representative to France, Mudane Mohamed Salah Nur.
