The Ethiopian Heritage Promotion Association (EHPA) announced that it has prepared 500,000 indigenous tree seedlings for transplantation.
Association Promotion and Public Relation Section Head Zenebe Desta told ENA that the transplantation of the various types of indigenous tree seedlings would contribute a lot in conservation of the environment.
Zenebe said over 350,000 of the tree seedlings would be transplanted in Addis and its environs and the remaining at 'Entoto Natural Park' to replenish eucalyptus trees.
The association would supply the tree seedlings to governmental offices, non-governmental organizations, and the public at fair price.
The Ethiopian Millennium National Council Secretariat has already requested to transplant most of the tree seedlings, he said, adding the public should actively participate in the transplantation of the indigenous trees.
