Abdiaziz Hassan, Mogadishu

It is two weeks less than to go when the government of Somalia plans to hold reconciliation meeting which is due to brings clan members together to figure out end the country's long term civil war that devastated the nation.

Many people do not understand the issue the tribal members will negotiate because there are no basic topics that can create their influence in the political process. Here, in Somalia politicians believe the designed conference will not heal past harms, and the solution for the country is to find a way forward for the opinionated principles.

President Abdulahi Yusuf who proposed these talks with help of the federal constitution announced earlier that the meeting will be held in Mogadishu--an anarchy capital which can not guarantee the security of the guests.

The president also segregated some political stakeholders to invite including the ousted Islamic Courts leaders who are vital members for the country's political picture. He said "we will not negotiate with terrorists" meaning that the government should not talk to the Islamic courts leaders.

Ethiopia's invasion in Somalia was a result of exaggerated threat from the Islamists, the rise of religious political movement in the Horn of Africa and western propaganda that diverted the attention the international community of the movements' good faith in the Somali soil and linked the organization to Al-Qaeda.

Now, the UIC is no longer in control but enjoyed a massive support from all Somalis during their six months administration sine they showed stability without a regional or international assistance.

The chairman of the talks Ali Mahdi agreed all the suggestions with the president. He said "the leaders of the UIC can take part the discussion through their clan if they denounce the violence acts"

Ali Ghedi, the premier addressing to the parliament last week said "the national reconciliation commission must work under the federal constitution and on the government policies"

The committee is not independent to guide for the talks. But the Somalis are demanding inclusive and transparent national reconciliation commission and to change the agenda of the talks to reach everlasting peace which all sides involve in it.

It will be a catastrophic move if the government gets in the way of the debate to keep its position and entertains the public incredible superfluous chatting between tribal members who are not fighting now but yet to trust each other.
