Somali police force were seen today starting from the night operating at Mogadishu’s junctions and main roads around the Bakara main market few hours after Mogadishu Mayor, Mohamed adhere revealed that Thursday that one thousand Somali Police force would be operational in Mogadishu starting from Friday, May 25.
 
The police started firing gun shots to disperse people while on the other hand ordering the closure of the business places including restaurants and shops.
“It is a natural curfew , our being order to be closed down , how the hell of this’ said Saed Mohamed , a Somali businessman who sells construction materials at the Market.
 
Dheere said the police have had their training ended in early this month and have been fully prepared to secure the gun-infested city.
"The various Somali armed forces that are currently evident everywhere in the capital will be pulled out and positioned on the outskirts of Mogadishu and they will be replaced by the police," he said.
The mayor called on the residents of Mogadishu to clean up their environment, threatening to fine them if they do not mow the clumps of bushes around their homes.
Mogadishu is quietly calm nowadays although separate gun shots were heard during the nightfall and many road side bomb attempts failed in the last two weeks , attempts targeted mostly to the senior government officials including the mayor himself ,tha Somali Prime Minister and some of the Somali police commanders.
